Good restaurant where we ate well and received a warm welcome! The downsides: - The menu on your website is outdated, with prices that haven't been updated, and many dishes are missing. - The €2 sauce container, and the fact that they don't mention this price when you order it during your meal, which is surprising since you don't get any, especially with fries. I still recommend this place.

I highly recommend Tonton Pilou; impeccable service and a very good meal. The servers were very friendly, we'll be back!

I initially left a single star on Google, without a comment. In response, the owner wrote: "Have a lovely evening, we wish you much happiness in your life. 💖💖💖" So, let me explain this rating. Unfortunately, our evening was ruined by the owner's attitude. We arrived about fifteen minutes late, having to find a parking space, which is difficult on a July evening, even on a weekday. The restaurant is well located, on the right bank quay, so it's quieter than the area opposite. We ordered the last mussels available that evening. I had the mussels in cream sauce, and my partner had the mussels marinière. My dish was decent, without being memorable, which is consistent with the price. However, my partner's dish arrived cold, with many mussels still closed. We asked for it to be taken back. After a long wait, we finally saw the pot ready on the serving hatch. The waiter, very courteous but clearly overwhelmed, was doing his best. When the dish returned, there were still many closed mussels. The "marinière" was a mixture of various vegetables, far from the traditional recipe. The fries, although homemade, were mostly leftovers, very small, and the homemade ketchup wasn't to our liking. My partner ended up leaving almost all of his meal. When it came time to pay, the waiter took my money. He had the courtesy not to ask if everything was alright. However, the owner intervened over his shoulder to ask me the same question. I honestly told him that the meal had been very bad. His reaction was immediately aggressive and contemptuous. If you ask a customer for their opinion, you have to be prepared to hear an answer that doesn't agree with them. What makes me advise against this establishment isn't just the quality of the food. Mistakes happen in the kitchen. However, the aggression and complete lack of self-reflection in response to a calmly made comment are, in my opinion, unacceptable. Finally, I want to clarify that the waiter is absolutely not at fault. He remained professional and courteous despite what was clearly a difficult situation.

Meh. Half the mussels I sent back were unopened, and even the second half still had some unopened... so I still can't eat them! On the other hand, the homemade fries were good! Two large dogs roam around the restaurant and keep drooling on our belongings... In short, I tried it, but I won't be back.

We won't be back. Unfortunately, our mussels weren't open, and we asked the waiter to bring them back. When they were returned to the table, they still weren't open. Out of two pots, we only managed to eat 10 or 15 mussels each (if that...). What a shame! I mentioned it when the bill arrived, and they told me there was nothing they could do. I find that unacceptable. Oh, wait, they did offer us rum, but we have two young children, so we declined! Also, the portion of fries was ridiculously small! On the other hand, the waiter was excellent and very kind, and the children's meal was very good.

We had a fantastic meal at Tonton Pilou's. The food was excellent, and the owner and staff were very friendly. We were a group of nine on a Saturday lunchtime, and contrary to our fears, there was no wait. We highly recommend this great place! The only downside is that you need to arrive a little early to find a parking space (in fact, we were 20 minutes late due to the lack of parking nearby, but we still received a very warm welcome!).

This restaurant makes everything from scratch. You can taste it; the flavor is absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended!

Go there without hesitation. The owner is incredibly attentive, kind, and helpful to his customers. The cuisine is refined, high-quality, and unpretentious. The sweet potato fries were a delightful discovery. And the service from Mohammed was simply exceptional. Smiling, friendly, and efficient. If all waiters were like him... a dream come true. Thank you again. It just goes to show that you can find excellent restaurants even in very touristy areas... 😊

Very pleasant and warmly welcomed. The waiter was excellent, attentive and caring, and we appreciated the owner coming to chat with us. The food was good and reasonably priced. Thank you for this wonderful family meal; we will definitely be back for another delicious meal.
